Nothing like a combination of exercise and healthy foods to shed the weight!
There is no doubt about it:
- Research shows that the most successful weight loss and weight maintenance programs include a combination of dietary modification and regular exercise – in fact 88% of successful diet loss programs include exercise! Diet with exercise produces about 20% more weight loss in the short-term and 20% greater sustained weight loss.
- Exercise has also been shown to be critical to general well being and to the prevention of insulin resistance developing into type 2 diabetes.
- The NHS recommends at least 5 times 30minutes of moderately intensive exercise a week. That means exercise that is hard enough to raise your heart rate and break a sweat! Up to you how you do that!
